Kristian Swenson (invited) is an assistant county manager for Seminole County, Florida, where he provides executive oversight of five operational departments representing nearly half of the County’s approximately 1,500 employees. His responsibilities include oversight of major public service functions, including utilities operations, solid waste, library services, roads, and stormwater.
Kristian joined Seminole County in 2023 and has more than 20 years of experience in construction, facilities management, maintenance, and public-sector operations. From 2001 – 2018, he served the Lake County Board of County Commissioners in roles involving road operations, facilities management, and oversight of operational departments. From 2018 – 2023, he was a member of the facilities management leadership team for Seminole County Public Schools.
Kristian earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and his master’s degree from the University of West Florida. He is licensed Florida general contractor and roofing contractor and is a qualified stormwater management inspector.
