Tanya M. Jones Bosier was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden in March 2023 and confirmed by the United States Senate in June 2024. Judge Jones Bosier received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University and her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.

Upon graduation from law school, Judge Jones Bosier served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Zoe A. Bush (retired) on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. In October 2001, Judge Jones Bosier joined the Office of Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia (now Office of the Attorney General), where she held various positions. In 2015, Judge Jones Bosier returned to Superior Court to serve as an Assistant General Counsel.

In January 2017, the Honorable Judge Robert E. Morin (retired) appointed Judge Jones Bosier to serve as a Magistrate Judge on the Superior Court. As a Magistrate Judge, Judge Jones Bosier presided over high-volume calendars.

Judge Jones Bosier is active in local bar associations, professional organizations, and courthouse committees. She is an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law and George Washington Law School.
