Enactment of the BBA audit regime and increased funding from the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 has enable the Service to dramatically increase the number of audits of partnerships and passthrough entities. This panel will discuss lessons learned from early experiences with the BBA audit regime, the new Passthrough Entity Practice Area and the Large Partnership Compliance initiative, and how partnerships and their owners can prepare to navigate the changing enforcement landscape.
