Michael L. Schler is a retired tax partner in the New York City law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. He is a past Chair of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section and remains an active member of the Executive Committee. He is the Chair of the New York Tax Forum and is a past President and now a Trustee of the American Tax Policy Institute. He is on the Executive Committee of the Yale Tax Reform Project, and he has been a consultant to the American Law Institute on federal income tax projects.

Mr. Schler is the author of numerous published articles and commentary, is a speaker at numerous tax conferences, and has been recognized as a top rated tax lawyer in numerous publications.

Mr. Schler has degrees from Harvard College, Yale Law School, and the New York University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation).
