Chris Bello has been a Senior Counsel in the Treasury Department’s Office of International Tax Counsel since June 2020. Before that, he was a branch chief, senior technical reviewer, assistant to the branch chief, and attorney-advisor in the Office of the Associate Chief Counsel (International), Branch 6. His work in Branch 6 included published guidance, such as the cost sharing and services regulations under section 482, and transfer pricing litigation. He has served as a U.S. delegate to the OECD’s Working Party 6 since June 2008, working on all projects to update and supplement the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines during that time. Since joining Treasury, he has also served as a delegate to Working Party 1, the Task Force on the Digital Economy, and the Inclusive Framework, and has worked primarily on transfer pricing issues and the Pillar 1 negotiations. He holds an A.B. in history from Princeton University, a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida Law School’s Graduate Tax Program.
