Randy Herndon is Chief Tax Counsel for Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-ID).

Previously in government, he served as tax counsel to Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), and as policy director and tax counsel to Rep. Jim Renacci (R-OH). He also served as law clerk for the Honorable Kent A. Jordan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and for the Honorable Mark V. Holmes on the U.S. Tax Court.

In addition to government service, Randy was a partner at Capitol Tax Partners and an associate in the U.S. & International Tax Group at McDermott Will & Emery. Prior to law school, Randy worked as a certified public accountant. He holds a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College.
