Jared Hermann is an attorney-advisor in the Office of Tax Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Since joining Treasury in 2024, Jared has worked on a broad range of U.S. international tax matters, including income tax treaties, aspects of the OECD’s Pillar Two global minimum tax, and the implementation of the international tax provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. During that time, Jared also served as Senior Tax Counsel on detail to the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, assisting with the development and drafting of tax legislation enacted as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Prior to joining Treasury, Jared served as legislation counsel with the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation, where his work focused primarily on the U.S. taxation of international and domestic business activity. Jared previously worked in PwC’s Washington National Tax Services practice and clerked for the Honorable Maurice B. Foley of the United States Tax Court. Jared received a B.A. (economics and sociology) from Pepperdine, a J.D. from California Western School of Law, and an LL.M. (taxation) from Georgetown University Law Center.
