Mallory Mendrala is currently the acting Deputy Associate Chief Counsel (Technical) in the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International). Previously, Ms. Mendrala was a Senior Technical Reviewer in Branch 2 of the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International), where she focused on subpart F income, the global intangible low-tax income (GILTI) provisions, and the passive foreign investment company (PFIC) rules.

Prior to joining the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International), Ms. Mendrala spent more than a decade with a Big 4 public accounting firm, most recently as part of the firm’s National Office in Washington, D.C. Ms. Mendrala specialized in subpart F and GILTI, the foreign tax credit, cross-border transactions and reorganizations, and foreign currency matters.

Ms. Mendrala received her J.D., cum laude, from the Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz School of Law in 2013 and her B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business in 2009. She is a member of the Ohio Bar.
