Speaker Bio
Chris Bello has been a Senior Counsel in the Treasury Department’s Office of International Tax Counsel since June 2020. Before that, he was a branch chief, senior technical reviewer, assistant to the branch chief, and attorney-advisor in the Office of the Associate Chief Counsel (International), Branch 6. His work in Branch 6 included published guidance, such as the cost sharing and services regulations under section 482, and transfer pricing litigation. He has served as a U.S. delegate to the OECD’s Working Party 6 since June 2008, working on all projects to update and supplement the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines during that time. Since joining Treasury, he has also served as a delegate to Working Party 1, the Task Force on the Digital Economy, and the Inclusive Framework, and has worked primarily on transfer pricing and related issues. He holds an A.B. in history from Princeton University, a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida Law School’s Graduate Tax Program.
