Date & Time
Monday, March 9, 2026, 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Rick Horowitz
Description

Building on the foundational concepts from the first session, we turn to the craft of drafting itself — how to organize, refine, and polish legal writing for maximum impact. We’ll explore strategies for structuring documents so that information appears where readers expect it and arguments unfold in a clear, logical way. The session then focuses on clarity and brevity, offering practical techniques for expressing complex ideas plainly and efficiently without sacrificing accuracy or substance.

This session addresses the critical final stages of the writing process: catching errors before sending a document and ensuring that the writing communicates the intended message. You’ll learn effective proofreading and self-editing strategies, as well as how to evaluate tone and voice to ensure that their writing comes across as professional, confident, and appropriate for the audience and context.
