The panel will focus on recent federal income tax developments important to the operation of US federal consolidated groups. In particular, the presentation will explore the 2023-24 Treasury/IRS business plan (including items removed from recent plans), REG-132422-17 (application of sections 987 and 988 in consolidation) and REG-134420-10 (interaction of section 358(d)(2) and Reg. ยง1.1502-80(d)).
