After decades of public inaction, the government has proposed crafting a limited exception to the Johnson Amendment in a case in Eastern District of Texas and has added Johnson Amendment guidance to its Priority Guidance Plan. This panel discusses recent and/or possible developments for charitible nonprofits seeking to communicate their views on candidates.
