The D.C. Bar Paralegal & Legal Assistant Training Program is a three-day, expert-led training designed to strengthen the effectiveness of paralegals and legal assistants across practice settings. Ideal for both new and experienced professionals, the program delivers practical instruction that can be applied immediately on the job.
Participants receive:
- 15 hours of live, expert-led instruction
- 6 hours of on-demand training in specialized areas
- Training in legal writing, research, discovery, and ethics
- Guidance on effective attorney collaboration
- An introduction to responsible use of legal technology, including AI
Beyond technical skills, the program helps participants build confidence in managing workloads, communicating effectively with attorneys, and navigating workplace expectations.
Training takes place on March 9, 16, and 30, 2026, at the D.C. Bar Conference Center, with only in-person option available. Participants must attend all three sessions. Registration includes all instruction, networking opportunities, a closing reception, and a Certificate of Completion.
