Sahng-Ah Yoo is a litigation partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and class action matters in federal and state courts. Sahng-Ah has experience representing clients in a broad array of matters, including mass torts, class-action defense, product liability, antitrust and commercial disputes. The American Lawyer has recognized Sahng-Ah’s trial work.

Sahng-Ah also maintains an active pro bono practice through her appellate practice and by serving as guardian ad litem in the D.C. family court system. She is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions due to her steadfast commitment to public service.

Sahng-Ah is a member of the District of Columbia and New York bars. She earned her JD from New York University School of Law, where she was a Next Generation Leader of the American Constitution Society, member of the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program and American Bar Association Judicial Intern Opportunity Program, and a member of the NYU Review of Law & Social Change. Sahng-Ah received a MSc. from the University of Oxford, and a BA, magna cum laude, from Columbia University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
