Courtney L. Thomas, Esq. joined the legal ethics program at the District of Columbia Bar in 2024. As ethics counsel, she provides guidance to members of the D.C. Bar concerning their obligations under the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct. Ms. Thomas provides staff support to the D.C. Bar Rules Review Committee and Legal Ethics Committee. Prior to joining the D.C. Bar, she served as bar counsel in the Lawyer Regulation Department of the Florida Bar for two years and spent six years as an attorney with Children’s Legal Services for both the Florida Office of the Attorney General and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
