Judicial & Bar Conference Looks at the Future of Legal Practice in Tech Age

Artificial intelligence was the central topic of discussion at the 2025 Judicial & Bar Conference on April 25 that drew nearly 500 attendees. Among the numerous programs, a plenary session on the rise of AI explored the technology’s impact on access to justice, legal practice, pro bono work, and legal education. During “Civility, Ethics, and Tradition in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” panelists considered the adequacy of existing ethics rules regarding AI, as well as the downsides of its use in legal research and proceedings.
